As a firm, we have been involved in the education policy field in issues ranging from the renewal of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, school turnarounds, coordination of services to children, and the Common Core Standards. C&J has also worked with states to develop a comprehensive set of policy recommendations to improve opportunities for children to succeed in public education. We have worked states such as California, Kansas, Nevada, and the District of Columbia. Our policy work has been with organizations such as the Aspen Institute, the Hunt Institute, the Say Yes to Education Foundation, the Casey Family Foundation, the Education Commission of the States, the C.S. Mott Foundation, and the law firm of Holland & Knight. Our work with foundations in the policy area has included the Ford Foundation, the Hewlett Foundations, the Gates Foundation, the Irvine Foundation, the Stuart Foundation, and the Kauffman, Joyce and Wallace Foundations.
